A New eCommerce Theme is Coming

We would like to update everyone on what we are working now. We are busy building an eCommerce theme which has similar Ajax features as seen on IconDock. The theme is designed to work with WooCommerce, a popular WordPress eCommerce plugin. This theme is taking a bit longer than usual because of its complexity. But please be a little patient with us as we rather to delivery a high quality theme than a half functioning theme.

On the side, we recently updated Bizco to be responsive. So we now have 13 responsive themes in total. Also, we added a video embed feature in Simfo. Now you have the option to use the theme for displaying post image or video. Don't forget to follow @themify on Twitter to receive updates from us.

I am anxiously waiting for Themify to finally release this new ecommerce theme! This is going to be really great and help me (along with several others) so much. Hopefully it will be coming out soon. Thank you!

Good to see you sorting an e-commerce theme. Any chance of integrating with WP e-commerce plug-in as that seems to be better featured than the Woo one (which seems to require the Gravtity Forms plug-in to work to its optimum potential).

Yes, we’ve planned to make this theme compatible with WP ecommerce. Perhaps a child theme.

        Glad to hear that
“Yes, we’ve planned to make this theme compatible with WP ecommerce. Perhaps a child theme”.

        A little wish list:

1- Turn off all shop functionality (add to cart, the cart itself, prices and any other aditional pages) with just one click without messing with themplates, etc.

2.Maintain the themefy query posts EXCELLENT feature. that´ll be terrific to pull out products in any way we want.

        Waiting to hear soon. Thanks

I’m excited about the ecommerce and especially want a responsive version. I’m wondering how the different ecommerce plugins work with responsive themes, so since Woo does responsive, too (just not as nicely as Themify) it’s more likely to work together.

    Hi, Themify:

Also please don’t waste space at top and make a huge header, a smaller thinner header would be ideal. Look forward to seeing your end result.

p.s. If it’s not too much to ask, could you also make room for an email embed form near the top whether below the header or on sidebar.

    Thanks,
    Missy

Hey – will the new theme have the “drop box” as in IconDock? And how long do we have to wait!?

I’d also like to know whether you’ll be using woo commerce or wp ecommerce. Woo’s many plugins and more payment options is a desirable feature to me.

As stated in our blog, we will be using WooCommerce. However, we might release a child theme for WP ecommerce.

I am also VERY interested in whether the “drop box” feature will be available like in icondock.com.

When do you estimate it will be finished? Days, weeks or longer? Just so we have an idea…

I ask because I need to migrate my old zencart over to a new system ASAP. What I care most about is the Product Slider (and the same look for all products in the store whether featured in the slider or not) and the Drop Box. I like the ease in being able to just click on the + sign on any product image to immediately add it to the cart.)

Since those are the 2 features I most care about, I am wondering whether anyone here who has used both wp ecommerce and woo commerce can comment on which platform is better or looks to be a better choice for the future.

    Thanks!

We are fine tuning the Ajax cart and looking to release it in a week or so.

Thanks, Nick, and it will have “Drop Box” I’m assuming? The photo you have above seems to be titled “Drop Shop” and shows the shopping cart box on the bottom of the page. Will it also have the option to drag products to the sidebar shopping cart box like in icondock?

Just love your themes, btw. :) Think I will have to wait the “week or so”, lol.

It will be a dock at the bottom, not sidebar.

Nick, re: the drop box at the bottom of the page, how does it work if one has 30 or so products in one category on the page? The page would be quite long. If they all show on that page how will the person know to go to the very bottom to see the cart or drag something into it?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, what I liked about the sidebar dropbox idea is that it’s easily noticed when you land on the page and invites you to drag something into it, lol.

    Hey Nick

GREAT theme, just great. It´s clean, fast and very detailed. I´ll really consider using it for a future project :-)

As many around i´d love to see a WPEC child theme too. Despite of the recent growing use of the woocommerce plug i guess we can´t turn around to this one

    A little wish list:

1- Turn off all shop functionality (add to cart, the cart itself, prices and any other aditional pages) with just some clicks without messing with themplates, etc.A lot could be done only changing some of the css files :-)

2.Maintain the themefy query posts EXCELLENT feature. that´ll be terrific to pull out products in any way we want.

Good luck with this “killer one”.
