New Music Theme + Framework Redesign + Sale!

New Music Theme + Framework Redesign + Sale!

Exciting news from the Themify camp: we'd like to introduce Music, a theme with artists, musicians, managers, and app developers in mind. Responsive and retina ready, Music introduces fullwidth video backgrounds, embedded music players, and a slick design right out of the box.

In addition, we've been working on some behind-the-scenes projects in tandem with the Music theme: Builder and Themify panels have been completely redesigned, now including a Customize panel which allows for customization of the theme with a live preview from the frontend! Builder is also coming with new features like the aforementioned fullwidth video background, pre-designed Layouts, and a new feature called Layout Parts.

Music Theme

Music is a theme that brings art to life. Built for artists, musicians, and anything related to music, Music is responsive and retina ready out of the box. We've jam-packed it full of much-requested features (like fullwidth video backgrounds) and made the Builder more powerful to make it even easier to create truly unique and beautiful websites.

Themify Panel Redesigned

While developing Music, we wanted to improve the user experience of using and customizing your Themify themes. We've completely redesigned the Themify panel into a flat design with a cleaner interface, and increased the overall font size for better readability. In addition, we've made the panel completely responsive to work on any sized screens, and replaced all graphic images with Themify Icons font to increase load speeds and make less HTTP requests.

Builder Interface Redesigned

Not wanting to stop at just the Themify panel, we also redesigned the Builder interface. On a module hover, Builder now indicates what module is in use, and we minimized the interface borders and strokes to provide a more accurate preview of what you were designing.

New Customize Panel

Giving our users even more power, we built a new Customize panel that allows the customization of theme elements and options with live frontend previews. You can select over 600+ Google fonts, use the color picker with opacity support, upload background images, set padding/margins/borders, write custom CSS, and much more.

In addition, you can easily set menu navigation, set the widebar widgets, and change the front page option. Watch the video below to see it in action.

New Builder Features

Builder didn't just get a facelift, we have made it better than ever before! New features include an Import/Export tool and the new Layouts and Layout Part feature, making work with client websites easier and better than before.

Pre-designed Layouts

Builder Layouts is a new feature that allows you to quickly import a Layout into any page or post. We include 8 pre-designed Layouts with Builder, out of the box, and you can create your own custom Layouts for your own personal use or for your clients. If you already have an existing post or page created with Builder, you can easily save it as a Layout without any issues.

screenshot

Layout Parts

Layout Parts is an extremely powerful new feature for Builder that allows you to create re-usable modules that can be included into posts or pages. If you update a Layout Part once, any posts or pages using that Layout Part get updated at the exact same time. Save time and money with your projects by building and integrating Layout Parts!

Builder Import / Export

With the new Import/Export tool inside of Builder, you can transfer Builder data from one page into another, or even from one website to another website, making deployment easier than ever before. In addition, use it to back up your page designs, or use it for page design versioning!

screenshot

Fullwidth Video Background

After receiving so many requests for this, we are tremendously happy to release the fullwidth video background feature in Builder. You can upload your own videos and use it as a fullwidth video background. Check this demo out to see it in action!

Concerning the re-vamped builder plugin: Can existing websites, using the old builder plugin, be updated without problem?

Looks awesome – Just updated! :-)

Does it mean you can only use the builder with the front-end view, not in the wordpress backend anymore?

Yes, the Builder backend edit has been removed. We find most users use the frontend edit, thus the backend edit has been removed to prevent overwriting errors and confusions.

oh man i miss the backend builder! big ask but is there any way of having that as an option to turn on?!

When making quick development changes i find the front end version hard work – especially with sections like on the flat theme, if you want a full width section, when editing it displays it with the sidebar making the section smaller and harder to see what you’re working with – you have to make all single posts full width in the theme options.

Appreciate I’m just one voice/opinion on this though!

I miss the back end editing as well – I find the front end frustrating if you have sliders that have different size text in it – as you are editing, the page keeps moving.

Please turn on the back end option for those of us who prefer it!!!

Trying to get my head round the predesigned layouts. Says you have to duplicate, so I tried. The immediate ‘duplicate’ link leads to me being asked to duplicate the page! The link from inside the view, does duplicate the view, but the duplicates do not allow any editing. I now have 5 exact copies of the same layout which I can’t delete!
    Ant suggestions

We are testing the new builder on one of our sites now and it seem that the Themify Builder has disappeared from the Themify Custom Panel. All we can do is click “Switch to Themify Builder” which brings up the overlay thing (with a 404 instead of the actual page btw). Is this a bug or a feature? We prefer working in the custom panel in the backend and not through the overlay function.

It should takes you to the frontend edit. If it doesn’t work as expected, please try to disable all plugins. It could be plugin conflicts.

Though I’ve not tested it, this theme look fascinating and I love the one pager integration…very intuitive and it shows you’re hard to beat. Love the new flat design and the panel..oh mine! I’ve been looking for a way to hit you with email to revamp your themify builder because while easy to use, it doesn’t make site attractive and one will need a handful of designers to get the right look and feel but everything is in phases and I know sooner a right modern page builder will be released. In addition, the event section, what if I don’t want people or my fans pay for the event? Hope there’s option for that because isn’t all event we pay for is it? Overall, the theme is appealing. Gracia, odabo.

Man, your site is so hard to be on. Everything is moving, flying in and out, really bright colors constantly changing… I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be looking at half the time, it’s just a really poor user experience.

    Good luck.

Not all the themes benefit from the redesigned panel? Metro theme doesn’t have it.

And if you started updating you could take another step forward and make the shortcodes option a separate plugin. Or reduce the number of called WP scripts. They are a hell lot and all in the header.

Which scripts are referring to? Note some scripts/stylesheets might be loaded from plugins and WordPress core.

To clarify the things. Checket your demo page and I don’t see most of those scripts called. Maybe you are right.
I finnaly got the new Themify panel on Metro. I guess it was some sort of caching because as strange as it may seem I had to deactivate the theme and activate it again to see the new looks.

And about making shortcodes as a plugin?

I agree that the builder on the backend is much more useful. Right now, I can’t see the module row options and that’s a problem. Other than wishing I can still use builder from the backend, the new design is cool.

There are some marvelous features in your theme builder. One Hugh thing that is missing is the ability to change font size without using h tags.

I mean, is it proper to have all text set to , say, h3 in order to be readable?
Using “Bold” helps make text more readable, but a larger font is also needed. (At least in themeif2).

Does Google appreciate all text being presented in “h” tags?

There should be a way to enlarge the font in the customize panel like there is for the titles.

      Hi Romrod65,

You can replace it by first turning on the Builder > Row Options and go to the background video. Upload your video mp4 there and that’ll do it :)
