Our latest theme, Metro, is a wonderfully responsive and bold offering, inspired by the Metro design seen in Windows 8. Whether you’re building a portfolio, or you’re running a blog, Metro has you covered with various layout options and the ability to dynamically organize your content so that it always flows and stacks. The Tile post type offers you the ability to create tiles with all manner of content types - buttons, gallery sliders, images, maps and text with full shortcode support - and display them on any page or post on your site with ease. With a fully responsive layout, options such as infinite scroll, and dynamically arranged content, your site will always look as clear and beautiful as it can no matter what device you are using.
We are offering 30% disount code for this new theme. Use the coupon code "metro" for a 30% discount off this theme until Feb 8, 2013.

I noticed in your demo there is empty space for 320×480 (see red box in photo).

What is the minimum size supported?
Thanks!

Thanks for the screenshot. The empty space is caused by the small display/resolution. We will address this in the next update.

Awesome theme. I like how it can mimic the Metro design, knowing that it’s also a minimal theme. Truly stylish!

My friend looking for the similar theme like Metro theme but he need horizontal scrolling instead. Would it be possible option in this theme in future release?
Nick La
February 18, 2013 @ 10:12 pm
We will consider this, however, there are some technical challenges to make horizontal scrolling on various mobile screen sizes.

Unfortunately the support area is unavailable for non-customers (or not-yet-customers!!). I have two questions about the metro theme before I decide to buy:
1) Right now, I use this Infocus theme (http://themes.mysitemyway.com/infocus/features/layouts/column-layouts/) There are several shortcodes for column-layouts – like [one_half] … [one_half_last]. And I’ve used them a lot in my blog. Do I have to change all of the codes when I switch to metro theme?
2) Regarding the (very nicely!) blog style of your metro theme: Which tile colors do my older posts get when I install the theme? Do they all appear in the same color and do I have to customize their colors manually?
Thx,
Oliver

1) Yes, you need to change the shortcode to use with our column shortcodes: https://themify.me/docs/shortcodes#columns
2) If the post doesn’t specify the color, it will use the default or skin color which you may also change with CSS.

Very nice. Will more colors than the nine currently listed be supported in the future. I’m setting up a blog that I’d like to change the main color of in tandem with the seasons of the Christian year. The traditional colors are green, purple, red, and white (or gold). Gold, or anything like it, isn’t available right now, and it would be nice to have the option to customize things a little more than just the nine current colors. Black would also be nice.

We’re looking to add a custom panel where you can customize each post with your own color choice.

This has been added to our todo list. By then you will be able to customize each Tile with the color picker.
