For this customer story meet Matteo Corradini, an Italian children's book writer, who shared with us how he was able to connect his creativity from paper to web design with the help of Themify. Read his story, and see how he was able to do this.
Matteo Corradini
Hi! My name is Matteo Corradini and I’m an Italian children's book writer, and a web designer. When I first started writing, my only tools were a pen and a paper. And even today, I still rely on them to write my stories. However, in today's time and age, I realized that for me to be able to share my work, books, or even workshops that I've done with kids, I needed to create an online platform for it to be accessible. With the help of Themify, I was able to do this. Themify provided a platform that's very easy to use, but at the same time, gave me the flexibility I needed to create amazing layout designs. This inspired me to continue to learn more about web design, which inevitably led me to become a web designer. Being a writer and a web desinger worked hand-in-hand, as I was able to create both the content and graphic needed for my own personal, and client sites. I was able to take on different types of projects such as site designs for institutions and museums. Themify made me realize that I didn't need a platform that gave me 10,000 themes, but rather, a few unique and special ones could go a long way.
Grido - A theme I fell in-love with
For my personal website, I chose the Grido theme. This theme was very easy to use and I love it. I've been using the same exact theme for a long time now. For some reason, I could never find a better theme that suited me more than the Grido theme. You could say that I fell in-love with it. Some features that I enjoyed the most are the graphic lines of the theme, and the ability to be able to customize almost every part of it. The Themify Builder was also a feature that I enjoyed. It helped me produce any kind of content that I want, without having any knowledge of HTML or any kind of coding (Italian was the only thing that I'm most certain of). It made it easier for me to personalize and design sites in a quick and orinigal way, without having to be too knowledgeable of the technicalities of creating a site. But not the entire process was smooth, however, as I did encounter some issues, which was quickly resolved in a very efficient and professional manner. Themify indeed has an amazing support team. They provided me with perfect and fast support that allowed me to meet deadlines and get projects done.
For me, writing and web design are somewhat similar. It should showcase both an individual's character, internally and externally, especially when styling their site. I was able to do this with Themify. It made me discover how we can connect the creativity from an individuals mind and convey it into the digital space. I believe I was able to do this through my site. Using the Grido theme, I was able to create a layout that I believe showcased my character and passion for story telling.
My work:
Project: Matteo Corradini
Base Theme: Grido
Project: Traparentesi
Base Theme: Wumblr
Project: Psicologare
Base Theme: Flat
Project: Meis Web
Base Theme: Magazine
Project: Terezin
Base Theme: Parallax
Project: Anne Frank
Base Theme: Elegant
Project: Tamburnotti
Base Theme: Postline
Looking ahead, I plan on keeping the Grido theme as my main theme. I might change the layout from time-to-time and use the Themify Builder more, but I doubt I'll stop using Grido. I needed a platform which would allow me to input originial content and create impactful designs. With Themify, I found it.

quick question, how do you set Grido to not have uniform grids, like in your pic above?
