There's a bug in the new 4.4 WordPress update (trac ticket: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35344) where on the homepage, the pagination links don't work properly: when you request to open page 2 or more, the page redirects back to the main page. No fix until WP 4.4.1 update is out, however there are workarounds:

  • you can the select a page for Posts page (here: http://prntscr.com/9ozrqd) or,
  • use default permalinks (screenshot: http://prntscr.com/9ozs2e)
