Sticky Posts
By default, WordPress displays the posts in chronology order (newer posts are displayed first). To highlight certain post(s), you can set it as "Sticky Posts" so they always display first regardless of the publish date. To set Sticky Posts: in the post edit page, click on the Visibility -> Edit link and check 'Stick this post to the front page'.
