Page Break, A New Builder Feature!

Ever create a page displaying a lot of media and written content? If that's the case then you've probably run into issues such as a slow loading times, or perhaps not enough visual imagery to balance out the text. Load pages faster and increase page views by using our new 'Page Break' feature!

The problem with long pages rich with media content is that it slows down the load times of your page. This can cause readers to click away because of long load times, or perhaps there's too much text and too little visuals. Whatever the reason, this will eventually lead to poor SEO ranking.

However, by using Themify Builder's new 'Page Break' feature, you can fix this problem. The page break module, allows you to break your Builder layout into multiple pages. Making your pages load faster while still allowing your readers to read all of your content. Because Page Break segments and spaces out your post in a natural way, this creates an easier reading experience for your viewers, and also increases your page views!

Get going with this new feature by dropping a Page Break in between any of your rows. There will also be a page counter on top of the page break module so you can keep track of your various pages. And as soon as a page break module is dropped, a page break occurs, and a pagination navigation will appear at the bottom of that row.

We hope you enjoy this little update. Let us know if and how this was helpful to you!

This is a nice and needed. Wondering if there is a way to auto scroll through page breaks without having to click?

    Thanks!

Do you mean infinite scroll? Sorry, we don’t have it yet. Will add it in our feature request list.

How does this affect the URL filename? I see in the demo, it shows
    https://themify.org/builder-page-break/#journey-begins
    https://themify.org/builder-page-break/page/2/
    https://themify.org/builder-page-break/page/3/
    https://themify.org/builder-page-break/page/4/

Can the URL filenames (ie. builder-page-break/page3) be changed to an SEO friendly filename? (eg:
    builder-page-break/something-more-relative-to-the-new-page

The pagination number is a standard with WordPress. Unfortunately, there is no option to change the pagination slug at the moment.

hi in SEO terms, as far as i know Google likes long articles (min 300 words) h2 bold bullet images etc. (more detail: https://make.wordpress.org/marketing/2018/02/28/recommended-seo-standards-for-internal-wordpress-posts-and-pages/)

So when we break with page break module, Google will behave them as separate page right? or not? Then we would need to deal 5 SEO optimization for new 5 page. (if i speak regarding to your example) Am I missing something?

Love these tutorial videos, thank you.

*One suggestion, it would be great to do one of these a week or 2x month about existing features (vs just new items). There are so many great gems in the builder I would love to see more tutorials.

    thanks!

    Hi Themify,

I got problem with “Page Break” builder. I got a long article in one page and created with custom sidebar which is I created with 2 column (left side bigger for main content, right side smaller for sidebar).

The problem is when I started to “page break” the article, the sidebar content of 2nd page and so on, doesn’t display correctly as the main. For example, missing border lines (just to look like inside a box), the font has changed to be smaller etc. While in builder mode, all look the same as it is.

I’m working on a long article that would be so much better with page breaks. Is it possible to add page breaks without using the builder?
(I use Themify Ultra with Gutenberg editor. )

I’ve tried the Page Break block in WordPress Block editor but the page navigation is in small font and easily missed.
