Call for Submissions: Fast Loading WordPress Sites

Last month, we released the long-awaited Themify Pagespeed framework, focusing on page speed improvements. The launch was met with amazing success, and we are happy to see how this new and improved version helped many users improve their site’s load speed. This has also resulted in scoring 90+ on Google Pagespeed Insights.

But we are not done just yet! In order to inspire more users to improve their site loading speed and overall user experience, we are going to compile a list of sites built with Themify, showcasing those with 90+ Google Pagespeed score. If you have updated your site to the latest version and have a score of 90+, please submit your site to us by filling the form below.

We will select sites which will be featured on our blog and include them in our user showcase page. In addition to that, the post will be featured on our newsletter with a following of 69,000+ subscribers. Hi team Themify,

I have updated 12 of my 13 websites.
No big problems found only the Split theme with video not playing.
So i am a happy camper.

But 90+ mobile i did not manage on not one of my websites.
      Some tips would be usefull.

Perhaps an article about how to understand the google page speed, and how to solve the problems in Themify ?

      Kind regards, André

Good idea. We will publish a tutorial on the common issues causing low Pagespeed score.

        Andre,
Getting 90+ on mobile is impossible to achieve on a WordPress website (in my 10+ experience), so don’t bother chasing it. Even Google’s main Homepage scores 48 on GPS Mobile; when Themify refer to a 90+ score, they are referring to GPS Desktop Score.

Version 5 of the Themify Framework has heavily optimise mobile website delivery. My GPS Mobile score tripled from around 20 to 66, very happy.

        Top Tips
        =======
        1. Get decent web hosting. Make sure your hosting is using the latest version of PHP (7.4), has GZIP compression and http/2. If your hosting doesn’t have this, change hosting provider
        2. Uninstall unnecessary plugins and themes
        3. Make sure the SQL database is the latest version
        4. Make sure the images on your website are optimised. Don’t use a 2K image to fill a 300px width box. Does the image need to be high quality, can you get away with low quality?
        5. If you have a lot of content/elements on the Page, slim it down to bring down the Page Size (Page Bloat) down.
        6. If you are using plugins, you may not be able to achieve a high Google Page Speed. The reason being would be the extra JavaScript and CSS files, which are beyond the control of the Themify Framework. For example, if you are using a Slider Plugin like LayerSlider, this plugin uses its own JS and CSS which are beyond the control of the Framework.

        Hope this helps.

          Hi Micheal,

With all do respect that was not what i was talking about. For sure it is possible to reach 90+ on mobile. I managed that before the update.

I checked your website and you have a lot op problems youself in Pagespeed and a C status in Gmetrix. All my websites have a A-status (between 95 and 100%).

They are very fast with the new framework. But to reach perfection there are some things left. What to do with passive listeners. Webp on nGinx. TTF. Remove unused Javascript etc.

There are a lot of things to do. But how ? Ask provider ? What to ask provider ? What can i do myself ?

Do keep in mind Themify is a builder for people with no knowledge about servers, coding etc. my core Business is graphic designer.

          Kind regards, André

My many websites using Ultra doubled their loading speeds on mobile to the 50+ range. Desktop did not change much, it was in the 80+ range before and has remained there.

I saw 70+ mobile speeds when the new framework was launched but it’s gotten a bit slower since then with all the updates fixing bugs.

I’m very happy with the new framework, your team did a great job. Thank you!

Unfortunately, my websites do not get 90+ speeds, that’s difficult for even a pure hand coded website to get. I’m happy with my 50+ speeds.

Happy to hear you like the new framework. Could you send us your site URL? We will assess why you are not getting 90+ Pagespeed score.

I have used many famous themes for WordPress such as GeneratePress, Astra, Suki, Neve, none of them have helped me get 9x score for Google Pagespeed like Themify. I am extremely pleased with Themify. I highly recommend that new WordPress users give it a try. You can check my website on Google Pagespeed to see the scores.
